    Re: 2014 Corvette Thread

I absolutely hate corvettes (69 and before are an exception) but this new one doesn't seem half bad to me. Make it out of a robust material (instead of plastic) and i can actually start to appreciate it, they have definitely made a drastic change from the C6's which is good news in my books

i do agree with this point, its sad that im also starting to see the audi A4/S4 become apart of the "jerk driver Reputation".

As for the final production pics that you posted, i am still seeing alot of Gtr, SLS, viper and camaro in its styling. Although i dont like corvettes at all, the c6 is my favourite so far like others have said.

I bought a BMW so I could be more of a douchebag! Justified Doucheyness!

Anyways, it wasn't really the bad interior that has turned me off of Corvettes, it's the seats alone. They seemed to be the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat in. You can't judge by pictures how comfortable the new ones are, but they can't be worse could they?!

i didnt really like corvettes until my dad picked up a blue 99 convertible a few summers back. Its alot of fun to drive and has some great power and it turned me onto corvettes. The old ones are classic, my uncle has a gorgeous big block '66 vette in steel city grey that i love but i wasn't a fan of the newer ones until the old man picked one up. I would love to drive the new one, it bet its a beast considering how quick and responsive the 99 is.

i dont know yet how i feel about this new vette's front end, but i dont mind the rear even though it has alot of camaro in it. The rear quarter looks like r35 GTR and the rest looks like different cars put together, I even see some genesis coupe in there. i think i will need to see it in person!

A new interior shot that isn't from a marketing firm -- IMO when you see this one the inside starts to look kinda bad, maybe not as good as I initially hoped.

I really like it, I've always liked Corvettes. Looks a lot like the new Viper, which I also really like.

The 7 speed manual is a nice touch too.

People will always talk down on the Corvette. Even after it destroys cars both in and above its class.

I dunno if looking more like a GT-R is a bad thing, plus there is always an industry-wide progression towards certain styles. But I agree with you they took some cues.

Overall though expect more high performance cars to have visible vents, for example. They are functional and becoming an engineering practice. Even the new BMW line...

I really used to love hating Vettes because they're domestic. Then I got the opportunity to ride in my dads cousins ZR1 and drive it shortly. It tears your head off and I actually really like them now because of the chronic neck pain.

That's an awful redneck race car. Not a fan of corvettes.

Looks like the Corvett has sex with a ferrari 599 and this is the love child...

Not a fan of Corvettes but I do like this. Would like to see a Top Gear review on this once its out...

I'm definitely a fan of the 'Vette muscle... especially the ZR1. OMG. It'll be interesting to see one in person when they hit the streets. Personally, I hope the fan base goes crazy for them. That way... then... just maybe... I can get me a good deal on a 2010 ZR1.
