Stolen wheels found yes!!!!!!!!

Well my wheels that i had on elmer were taken from my shop last year and we knew eventually they would show up. they did and many people let me know they found them . the guy that has them tells me he aquired them on a mk1 jetta he bought in nov and is more than happy to return them to thier rightfull owner . so i am pumped about that . thanks to all that helped me find them .!!!!!!!!!

Ask him who the jetta was bought from. He cleverly avoided posting them for sale on any local volkswagen forums but posted them on Honda forums, vortex(with pictures of Elmer), kijiji without posting pictures of the actual wheels(axis website picture) eBay. Seems to me like he's trying to save his own ass.

Agreed. He should have a name on the BOS from when he purchased the vehicle with your wheels. He is just willing to "give them up" and return them without any $$$ being exchanged? He "apparently" purchased the vehicle - paid for it, seem's odd how he would just give them back without going after the original owner who sold him the vehicle for information. I agree with idlandk, but then again, maybe he is one of those few nice guys left, doubtful - but just maybe.

I'm going to go out on a limb though and say that the guy who is returning them maybe didn't steal them, however due to his behaviour either:
1 - He knows the person who did and doesn't want to give them up.
2 - Has some completely different he doesn't want to attract attention.

I'm going to go out on a limb though and say that the guy who is returning them maybe didn't steal them, however due to his behaviour either:
1 - He knows the person who did and doesn't want to give them up.
2 - Has some completely different he doesn't want to attract attention.

Should first see if you can get any info (backing up his story) on who he purchased the vehicle from (like I previously mentioned, the bill of sale). Maybe he will be nice enough to give you a name? it's a start. If he refuses to do that, chances are either 1. he is the goof that stole them, or 2. (like witchcraftz said) he knows the person who took them, and he's making up a bs story to protect the guy.

Either way, get the wheels back first. Then ask the guy if he has any info (that way if you piss him off, the wheels are already in your possession! lol) ask him questions, get what info you can, see how he responds to your questions, etc.

Here is what i belive . Person in red deer stole rims and other stuff off kyles car (my tech borrowing wheels) friend in edmonton has mk1 jetta and red deer gave hime the stolen wheels . Person in edm sold car stating i aslo give you these rims but be aware they are hot . Person in cgy with wheels figures that its been long enuf and i can move these as the original owner probably has moved on with the intensions of if the rightfull owner calls me on them i will gladly hand them over . I am just so happy to be getting them back . I dont care
