  • Rivnut tool?

Does anyone have a rivnuts tool I can borrow to install my skid plate? To buy one from Blackfoot is $75.

You can do it manually with a couple wrenches too.

How? I thought a bolt, nut and washer would do the trick as per the ECS website. I went and looked at a bolt washer and nut from CanTire but when you hold the nut and turn the bolt the rivnut just spins too. What am I missing? This would be the easiest solution if I can figure out how to make it work.

You can make one by threading in a bolt to the rivnut, and having a nut 1 size bigger than the bolt in between the bolt head and rivnut.

Hold the nut with a wrench and turn the bolt.
