Good place for a straight blade shave.

So with Movember starting this week some friends and I have decided that at the end of the rigorous month of itchiness and unwanted beards, we will go for some straight shaves to celebrate victory. Has anyone here ever gone for a nice barber shop shave and where would you recommend?

My dad's friend who owns Chatters hair salon's recently launched a new brand called "Tommy Gun's". "The ultimate man's barbershop". As it was just launched a little while ago, they only have one store in calgary which is in southcentre. I will probably go there as soon as i can actually start growing decent amounts of facial hair hahahah!

Barbershop on the corner of 17th Ave West and 37th Street SW. The guys name is Sam (Iraqi), does a great job with the blade.

place on 14st and right past 13 ave called alberta barber or something, lebs very good at it. They are kinda douche bags though and hard to listen to and understand with all the chill cousin **** and lieing but other then that good place always go there.

even the racial slur database doesn't consider it to be a derogatory comment. we live in a world full of stereotypes. get over them because i hear Lebanese folks calling themselves lebs all the time. he complimented them on their skillz and seemed to give a detailed response about those particular people. who, in his opinion, may very well seem like douchebags and liers, regardless of race.

btw, i would have chosen a less sensitive approach to my description than lulu did.

Chill out champ, I have "LEB" friends i call them "LEB" all the time, from teenagers to elders and they have never said anything about it being racist.

anyways.. new barber shop in bow valley square does it too.. even on haircuts they shave your neck with a straight blade.. pretty scary at first haha

Rema (Rema's Place) does a great job with the razor Her shop is 9919 Fairmount Dr SE, in the same plaza as Tim Horton's. An old school barber shop feel for sure.

back on topic. I think the place in Suntera does it also, well at least i know they used to my dad used to get it their. Younger guy that does it good also happen to be "Lebanese."
