OS question

I recently acquired an old Dell 1950 server. It currently is running the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Do I:

-put the Windows Server 2003 back on (came with the server)
-put Windows 7 Pro on it
-keep the Windows 8 preview on it until Windows 8 Pro comes out
-put the free VMWare ESXi on it

It has 2x 15k 36GB SAS drives mirrored and 8GB of RAM (looking for 8GB more) and a 2TB USB drive for storage

throw it into the recycle bin and save $$ on all the wasted power

what do you want it for? not enough space for a media server

win 8 RTM is already out ive had the final win8 running for over a month now

if you want to learn put esxi on yes and have some fun.. that being said 36GB of space isn't giving you **** to learn VMs so again.. toss it into the recycle bin man

Throw Windows Server 2003 and put Virtualbox on it. Also put MediaTomb on it.

Go different with FreeNAS, have fun.
