  • Is it possible to run smaller centerbore wheels?

I found a nice set of wheels I would like to buy, but the centerbore is smaller than the centerbore on my car.

Is it possible to run these wheels? Any suggestions?

Is it safe to enlarge the centerbore?

You can run a set of spacers with a step down centerbore? I'm not sure but if you got a good machine shop i wouldn't be hesitant to enlarge the bore if you had enough material still

Yep spacers (Depending on thickness) will solve the issue, or getting a machine shop to do it. I've heard of many people enlarging the center bore without issues. Remember most aftermarket wheels will have like a 60-70mm center bore while stock is usually 57.1mm. Most wheels have tons of space to be drilled out. If you do get the center bore enlarged, make sure you do it to your cars spec to avoid hub-centric rings. Also if you like having center caps, that would be another issue you may have to sort out first. Good luck!
