Blair at The Paris Auto Show 2012

I thought this posting would deserve its own thread since there are a lot of pics to share as well!!

With all the new introductions this week I wanted to go see things in person and have my first experience at a world class car show event, so I recruited Bart to meet me in Paris and we spent a full day checking out all that is new in the automotive world!!!

I took the Eurostar from London to Paris, St. Pancras station is extremely nice, wish I could say the same for Paris Nord

Pff, Volvo offered the pop up Nav circa 2006 (option on mine).

This confirms something I already knew, 2 door A3/S3 (any generation) Hot! 4 door (any generation) - Meh.

Focus looks pretty good. and of course basically everything else there.

i love the a3's they keep making them better and better. if only i could find one with 3.2l manual quattro haha.

I think this new nav is pretty thin, at least looked very small in person, plus the addition of the touch wheel is nice too as you can use your finger to write letters on the center of the pad as opposed to scrolling to spell out a destination. If I was in the market for a car I would probably be looking at the new A3 or an A1 depending on my price range, with S-Line in both I think very nice cars!

The Kia pro_cee'd was a pretty nice surprise I thought too, very well put together and looks pretty good, but did not seem to be that cheap and only had 135hp if I remember correctly.

AoA is so lame, not bringing over the A3 Sportback/Avant. Ryan mentioned earlier, but it's more like the B5 Avant than any version before. SEX!

Well I guess we will have to wait to see what the sedan ends up looking like, maybe a Detroit premier for that?? I do find it odd that Audi has been selling the A3 sportback for quite a few years in NA and then just stops when they bring out a sedan, seems they are dumping a market they helped build.
