Re: Easier Oil Changes?
Never heard of it nor would I ever spend 10 cents paying for it. Its not the drain plug part of the oil change that gets messy, its usually the filter. When they come up with a cleaner way to get the filter off, i'll pay attention then.Patryk

They take forever to drain.

Re: Easier Oil Changes?
Coincidentally the topic came up on Beyond this week.
http://forums.beyond.ca/st/358563/an...-drain-valves/
Mixed reviews in that thread with a couple of dubbers giving it an A+!

sold one to my dad for his dodge diesel, he loves it, his neighbour ordered one a week later as well. its a good idea if the drain plug is up out of weather and no chance of **** hitting it.Current:

s4 is pretty clean and super easy. drain, twist off the canister, dump the whole canister filter into the used oil pan and screw on a new one. none of this crap about unscrewing a filter housing, having it piss oil from around the threads as you undo it and then having the whole damn thing just puke out oil. Not to mention trying to figure out if the damn o-ring came off or is still on the filter housing but rolled over. what a dumb design.Team Highschool

Re: Easier Oil Changes?
Actually Andrew I was making reference to Tracy's 2.0 and my old 1.8 cl. The 3.2 VR6 is the cleanest of all oil changes i've ever done on a car. The filter housing has its own drain plug for the oil in the housing, so once I let that drain, its all very simple. I wish every car had the same design as my .:R32 does!!!Patryk
