  • Would you spend 40G's on a car that isn't the colour you wanted?

I'm shopping around for a used car and every car I like is not available in the colour I am looking for. I guess thats what you get when shopping for a used car.

So, would you pull the trigger on a car that you love, but is the wrong colour?

I might! Depends though...colors usually grow on you so that wouldn't be the deal breaker for me. We just got the wife a 2012 Tiguan and all they had was white with the features we wanted...fortunately that was the color she wanted! Pick it up this week! Candy White 4Motion 2.0T Sport model

I probably would, providing the color that you can find it in isnt hideous

I definitely would now thanks to plasti-dip hahaha. But in all honestly, its like Jay said...colors will usually grow on you. Besides, you dont see the color of the car while you're driving, you're just enjoying the feel of the drive!!!

Depends on how much you really hate the color. If you absolutely hate it, I would wait it out but if its a color you can live with and you get an awesome deal on it I would. Colors can be changed.

Doing a proper job on a color change is not easy or cheap. Door jambs, engine compartment, etc. all need to be painted. No way I would spend 40k on a car and then get it painted a new color

It could be the fact that I am fussy but I would wait around for exactly what i wanted (unless it is an extremely rare car but doubt this is for 40K), i think you would be much happier if you waited the extra bit

Same, if I bought a color that i didn't like I would probably sell it shortly after purchase

40 grand is a good portion of money. I would only be buying the car in the one I want. Dont rush it and it will come around. but when it does jump on it ASAP. I spent about 2 years looking for my Carbon Black/Cinamon color combo for my M3. Found 1 last year and waited one day to late. I just sat and waited looking for the right car and i just so happened to luck out at the begining of this summer when I bought it. Seen it on Kijiji on a tuesday, picked it up Friday lol.

Plus when your driving and you see the car u have but in the color u want, you will be upset knowing that was the orginal color u wanted

Yeah make sure to wait it out. I didn't pay anywhere near that much for my GTI, but it was a lot of money for my student budget, and I got one the wrong color. I regret it everyday and is a contributing factor to why I want to sell my car

A Berlina Black S2000 would sure be nice...
