I heard of people damaging their paint but its because they are buying their own thinners and not going with what is recommended by people who know what they are doing.
So my brother has been bugging me to plastidip his Infiniti after showing him some of the work on here. He wants to do matte black but is too scared to do it alone the first time. Beer, food cash, is on the table whoever is willing to help.
Also wanted to know which spray gun should be buy, or will ipp recommend one?
dipyourcar wont ship to canada well they wont ship the paint. i used a earlex 3500 had to get it from the uk, home depot sells the wagner guns.
ipp is your best place to buy the dip in gallons it comes pure from them so you have to thin it yourself, i used xylene to thin it in a 1-1 ratio. i used 3 gallons to do my urs4 matte black.
so get 2 gallons of dip from ipp 2gallons of xylene from anywhere gives you 4 gallons of thinned plastidip better to have to much than not enough.
the dipyour car videos are good to see how its done but as a buisness not so much.
Some of the cars that were dipped at driven were sprayed terribly. And this is coming from a guy who can easily admit to doing a terrible job on his own car after seeing what a well sprayed car looks like!
