  • Re: plasti dipping colors

Ah well good to know about the blaze colors vs. the regular colors. What is the significance of the "blaze" title then?

And yes it is a 20th so it is originally IY, not Futura. If it was futura it would be extremely rare and i don't think anybody would touch the paint on it, but of course there are crazy people out there

As far as my research has taken me, it appears to be a fancy name, nothing more. I cant see Blaze orange being brighter than firebelly orange, the proof is there that blaze blue isnt brighter than regular blue, and I highly doubt blaze green will be brighter than monster green.

It wont be Noggy Ryan, believe me. After all is said and done, it would look closer to santorin (or whatever the proper name of Rod's S4 is) than it would to Noggy. If you really wanna go for Noggy, get regular blue and mix small doses black into it. You can stop as soon as you find the color you want and you'll get a much closer match to Noggy

Edit: ok looking back at the blaze blue, maybe comparing it to Santorin is a bit of an exaggeration, but it will still be darker than Noggy. Also remember that Blaze colors do not come in Gallons, so it would be hard to get a nice finish doing it all with spray cans.

That looks sweet dave. With the matte black and the white walls, it gives it kind of a rat rod look, but still very clean. haha I dont know how to explain it. half rat rod FTW lol

Yea, you guys are right (imola vs. Futura) but looking at the rear quarter (not the roof) it sure looks like goldy
