The omanyts were such a pain to plastidip . So many spokes, indents, curves and whatnot. I have quite a few trouble areas but idk at this point. I hate not having my a garage so I had to rush through it at my parent's place.

Anyways hoping they dry ok overnight, gonna go back for them tomorrow I'll grab some more pics if I'm not too lazy hah.

Haven't seen your car in person yet man, gotta rollout sometime.

Am i right that you shoot the plastidip with/like paint gun? I've been pondering doing my tool box and my cart at work baby blue for shits n giggles. We shall see if i ever get to it. Sounds pretty durable if it stands up decently on a car.

Can get it in spray cans too in very limited colors, I think black and white. Can pick em up at AutoValue if you just wanted to screw around with it a bit.

Ya Kane it just shot through an electric HVLP gun. Just gotta buy the plasti dip in a gallon and thin it with some Xylene (1:1 ratio). Toolbox would probably look pretty sweet if it was dipped blue.

Jamie plasti dipped his Ikea lamp baby blue, he should probably post some pics up haha

Ok, good to know. My box is blue and my electrical cart is black and it bothers me that they don't match. Masking the chrome on the drawers would be a cinch compared to masking a car. If i get around to it i'll shoot some pics of it done. Also is the finish kinda dull or kinda shiny or does it depend?

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for gallons at ipp?

Kane, the color will most likely be a bit dull as its a flat color. You can change that up by either spraying some glossifier over it or some silver metalizer. Both are plasti dip products. I can vouch that the silver metalizer on the blue looks awesome, but I havent had a chance to work with the glossifier just yet. As for the gallon at IPP, it costs roughly 120 for a gallon of pure plasti dip, then 20 bucks for a gallon of xylene. So all in all you get 2 gallons for about 140 bucks. Cans cost about 18 bucks per can and IPP carryies whatever you need (or they can order it in for you)

Edit: Also Kane, if you need to borrow an HVLP gun, PM me. I'm in Bridlewood

I think 2 gallons of plasti-dip, lamin-x, noma christmas bulbs, duct tape and a can of elbow grease will do the trick.
