To me those are not the features that define what a VW is to me. Nice to have some of the new technology however being that VW never really had them in the past, I don't love VW because of them!

Agreed, quality is what makes vw, vw. i just saw the flip out reverse camera and thought it was pretty cool to be seeing that in a jetta. I'd prefer that they build something closer to a mk2 gti though, just all fun.

All these new features are pretty neat. I just don't like the look of the newer generations. Vw always seemed to have a more classic/defined look now they look so close to all the other manufactures.

In this age group what other compact vehicles were there the omni's, chevettes, honda's and toyotas the rabbits didn't look cheap like the others did. They held up a higher bar of standards. Just my opinion but these mk1 and mk2's is why i love my vw's. (mind you i do really like my mk4) but can't get into the newer ones, they just don't do it for me.

I guess i ranted a bit but new features, thumbs up. Overall look of the newer generations....meh. Nervous to see what mk7 will bring.

I would love to have a new VW mini truck with a diesel. I always found it strange that all the mini trucks are no longer be sold (including the Toyota, Nissan etc).
