Because we hate everyone equally here? Likely because you could just do a search and see if said person screwed anyone over before.

Me and a few members on here have quite an extensive list going but privately. I think that an open forums like this will lead to a lot of bashing and will just end up in fights between people and lots of disagreements. This is why we keep it private

^^^Yep, what Sean said. We have a (relatively) friendly community here where most people get along. Those who dont get along stay away from each other and keep it civilized. If you start openly listing who did what wrong to who, it will create a high school effect where there will be groups of people fighting against groups of people, all chosen by who's friends choose to side with whichever party.

IMO, this is bad news bears. Keep the positivity open, and the negativety private.

              Re: Classifieds feedback thread

It has never really been an issue as most transactions are by regular members and feedback is not a concern, if someone was ripping people off that would be one thing but not a common occurrence here as far as I know.

I think its a fairly close community.. word of mouth travels quite quickly with bad transactions!

Something like a trader rating can work.. but I think we may be too small for that.

Yeah, when **** goes south in a deal it usually gets worked out pretty quick between the buyer/seller, otherwise it travels pretty quick through word of mouth.

I have had no real issues when the person actually follows through on a transaction . I have only issues where someone has texted saying that they would like to buy something I was selling and then arrangement where made to meet and the person flakes or pretends I do not exist after I went out of my way to accomidate. Well there was also the tike some kid pretended to be me after some dishonest selling.

Yeah i understand where you are coming from.

Looking back to my last part out this guy had bugged me for about 3-4 months if i remember correctly about making sure i kept a hold of parts for him before he started ignoring me. Then when he needed them he made it seem like i had to meet him that day so i went out of my way to meet up with him.

I am currently in that situation again. Same guy PM'd me offering to buy a part i had for sale. I told him $X and he seemed to be ok with it. After him still posting on here and ignoring the 2 PM's i sent, I sent him another message saying that the new current price is $2X (twice the original amount) and it will go up by $20 a week until he comes to pick it up. Sometimes people just need a bit of motivation to get their butt in gear

Also note that when selling something, a Feeler post is absolute, and to decide not to sell is means for legal battles.
