      Re: tv shopping

I bought a pretty basic toshiba LCD maybe 2 years ago and hated it. Sold it and bought a Samsung 6 series led. Night and day. Samsung was so much nicer. Samsung 6 series , both led and LCD are pretty nice and when I go mine, they were pretty high in the reviews.
I went to visions. I've had pretty good luck with them.

              Re: tv shopping

I have been looking too as I need something for the UK, the selection is slightly different but I have been looking at a 42" LG LED similar to this:

              http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...339224a4f9en02

The features vary a bit between UK and Canadian spec but the price is better for sure, can get that TVs equivalent for about $700 Cdn all in, delivered over there.

I like the look of the new Samsung Smart TVs but not really sure I want all that stuff and for sure no 3D.

LG, Samsung, Sony and Sharp are all good but different and it will depend on your visual preferences... You need to decide on features. High frame rate for motion? Smart capabilities? 3D? Bright room, dark room?

regarding light vs dark room, plasma is good for dark and not so good in a room with lots of natural light.
