Quick Urgent Windshield Help - Rear View Mirrow fell off

Any of you work at, or have a friend at a Windshield repair shop, that can re-attach my Rear View Mirror to my windshield?

I went to a Speedy shop, and the fella said he wouldn't do it as there's a piece of glass that came off with the mirror arm. He said get a new windshield. Ridiculous. My windshield is in mint condition otherwise.

EDIT: ITS a TINY piece of glass that came off with it. The guy quoted liability. ya ya ya chief, I'm ok.

I've tried, as well as with Colin's help to re-attach the stupid thing. I think this is a, need the right tools.

The urgency, is I leave Thursday morning for Spokane, and I have footy Wednesday night. (tonight I finish painting my CH's)

You've got two side mirrors, you don't really need the rear view.

When i bought my a4 from po it never had a rearview mirror, and a huge chunk of glass missing. Youll live
Legally you only need 2 mirrors

Think when a truck is pulling a trailer, or you have your great Dane in the back of your golf, you can't use the rear view anyways.

Natty, thanks I'll give Moore's a hollar. Hopefully they aren't anal-tards about the lil chip of glass missing.

You're right, I don't need it. I want it, I'm driving through the PCH, LA, Frisco and Vegas. I want to be able to have full rear view easily in foreign places.
