I am the proud new owner of a Porter Cable polisher and need to get some pads and related tools. Any preferred places in Calgary or online?

Re: Where to buy detailing supplies?
I've done a couple orders through Autogeek.net. They have tons of products. their forum has lots of information as well. i used the Meguiar's combo polish M105/205 on my black Jetta and it took out all the swirls out nicely.Ken

Re: Where to buy detailing supplies?
For the most part the stuff at Canadian Tire sucks. I've used so many of the products and rarely am I happy.. maybe 1 in 5 products I don't just throw out the first time I use them.
Edit: Also some advice if you are not super experienced with that polisher stick to very light polish products, take your time and just work on getting good at taking out the finest swirls.Last edited by Kor; 05-14-2012, 02:28 PM.KR

So you keep 4 out of 5 products?

They USED to stock 303Aerospace which is the (.)(.) as far as vinyl/leather protectant. Alas, they've stopped carrying that brand and I'm forced to ration my last bottle, pending another source (help?).
Stoner Invisible Glass is great product.
NuFinish paste is surprisingly good for a basic polish, used as a prep to using a Collinite or a Meguiar's wax.
AutoGlym or Turtle Wax tar/bug removers are very good for the price.
Can't go wrong with a Mother's or Meguiar's clay bar kit and detailing spray wax either.
So.... Canadian Tire is good for some things, one just has to be specific when making a purchase. Unsurprisingly, as we're all demanding enthusiasts (to varying degrees)!Last edited by PRY4SNO; 05-14-2012, 02:28 PM.Find me on Instagram @pry4sno
