Looking for suggestions for an all inclusive vacation in September. We are trying to stay away from Mexico but not totally opposed to it.

Re: All inclusive
I loved Costa Rica. I've been to most southern destinations and it was my favorite. Specific resorts can be hit or miss at any particular time though. I'd stay away from Mexico as well.Daily: 2015 VW Jetta Trendline + (his) 2018 VW Tiguan Comfortline (hers) 2011 Volvo C30 R-Design: Orange Flame Metallic, Polestar, Milltek non-resonated exhaust, Various OEM+ accessories

Re: All inclusive
almost yea
if you want to get spoiled and see more places honestly try a cruise.. the food is 10x better than all inclusive you get to see different places (and you don't need to pay the cruise line trips a lot you can DIY or find on your own)
i've done both and i like cruises because the experience is better..but they'll cost more.. well if you get a balcony room.
if its your first one take an inside room and you can get them cheap.. as long as you don't mind not having a window and your set

Re: All inclusive
Thanks for the suggestion Ryan, I will take a look at some cruises. I have done a bunch of traveling doing both the backpacking route and taking a few week long trips to all inclusive resorts, so I have an idea of what to expect. I'm looking for any insight into recent trips, places to avoid, and new developments that have more up-to-date amenities.2001.5 Audi S4

Re: All inclusive
I will recommend you skip Hawaii if it was on your list. About half the resorts are pretty dated, only the most expensive ones are any good IMO... and then they're way more expensive than almost anywhere.
I've heard Dominican is no better than Mexico but I can't say, haven't been there.
I'm a fan of Mexico even though people say to skip it... I've heard Costa Rica is awesome and I would love to see Cuba which would be my 1st choice if it weren't for complications with the US.KR

Re: All inclusive
I liked Cuba it is nice but September is mostlikely still going to be the rainy season, some people complain about the food but the lack of americans more then makes up for it. And definatly take a day tour to Havanna and check out the cigar factoriesBeen driving VAG for longer then allot of the members have been alive

Re: All inclusive
any 4-5 star all inclusive hotel is pretty much the same no matter what country you're in, the Mexican ones are great because they've been in the business for a long time. Why do you want to stay away from there?Current: 2012 VW GTI

Re: All inclusive
Yeah I agree Mexico is awesome, depending on where you go there is so much variety as well, it's a big country, they know what they're doing, the people are friendly and its easy to get around and get there... plus good prices... nice weather..KR

One more for Mexico, was there for a week and had an awesome time for my sister's wedding. Was a big group though about 40. Gran Bahia Principe Tulum.
Only complaint is it was to much heat for me, I was happy to come home and go boarding!!Chris :
