  • Anyone have black caliper paint?

Just painted my calipers red and wanted to paint the raised lettering with black but can't justify spending $30 for a kit just for letters.

If someone has some I could use that would be awesome

BBQ or engine block paint is probably about $7 can, should do fine with the temperatures I would think.

I'd rather the stuff in a can that I can brush on as it would be pretty tough to mask off.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll keep it in mind

Most BBQ paint isn't glossy and if you get matte finish paint the brake dust will stick to it like mad and get nasty; the best caliper paint is super smooth and everything just rinses right off at the carwash... Engine block paint may work depending on the finish.

No idea wat the deal is with spending $30+ for caliper paint. Have had mine painted for many years with good ol spray paint. Shiny as all hell, pressure washed all the time, no issues. If it gets a chip/any other lesion then just sand that area down (drill + wire brush) and hit it with a mild touch up.
