  • Head Work?

Hey guys, I've never had major engine work done before so I don't know where to start. I have the opportunity to buy a used head with crapped valves due to timing belt failure. I'd like to install oversized valves, a stage 2 cam and do some porting and polishing. Anyone had experience doing a 4 cylinder head? What's the general consensus on price for the machine work? I know how much it'll cost to put it back together. Hell I can probably do it myself as there's no down time. Any input and help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use your mom for all my major head work.

George knows how to do this stuff at Tunedub and can subcontract what he needs, but unsure if he is willing to personally take on the project. I have seen some engines he has built up personally and they are awesome, but yeah not really his shop's bread and butter.

That sounds like a pretty small and quick job

I would be interested to see what prices for said work would be like too.

          lol you dick.

Any more input? I may give George a call here see what he says about it. I'm blowing a lot of blue until I reach 50 degrees now, kind of concerned its some valve train leakage. Want to have something on hand for minimal down time and a minor upgrade.
