As some of you may recall I have previously attempted, unsuccessfully albeit to relocate overseas, well my wife and I have not given up on that goal and it looks like it should be a reality fairly soon. My wife has been granted a transfer to London, England and we are currently working on the paperwork with her employer and immigration lawyers to get everything ready as she is expected to begin working over there officially in mid-June, with me most likely to arrive over there in the first week of July.
Thus I must once again announce my retirement as President of this club and pass the reins to Ryan, and I might suggest Rod as a strong candidate for VP if he so desires. I am going to stay on as admin and moderator as I am not going to be working in London full time for a bit as I complete my schooling over the next year so I can still keep an eye on all of you and also enjoy the progress you all make on your cars and projects. I will also be handing over my keys in exchange for an Oyster card so my lack of driving will need a bit of a fill from you guys/gals but I hope to keep up with a quality London spotted thread, once I get a modern phone of course
The club and forums seem to be as strong as ever so I think you all should survive my departure and hopefully I will be in town every so often to catch up with everyone and maybe make it out to a meet too. Thanks to you all for making this a very worthwhile endeavour and I have enjoyed being a part of this community and its evolution for nearly ten years now and I look forward to seeing where it goes in the future too!!!
Thanks to everyone for all your support and contributions!!
I should be in attendance at the May and June meets, and possibly July being the final but I am also supposed to go to London at some point in May to try and actually find a place to live when the paperwork is sorted.
All the best and thanks again!!
Blair
PS If anyone wants a barley used Fiat 500 let me know!!!
