I enjoyed the show, I think last year may have been a bit bigger though. I tend to ignore the super exotics, I'm fully aware that I will probably never have anyone driving me around in a beautiful Mulsanne or owning an Aventador so I don't even bother. Ford's area was really well done, they had some kind of talking robot and a driving simulator, they really went all out.

Plethore was pretty awesome. Totally missed the Mclaren, where was that?

Did any of you get to see the Plethore up close? It was really dissapointing quality. I realize it was a Prototype, but the interrior was a total wreck. The leather didn't cover everything -- like they cut it too small for what it was supposed to cover. There were alignment issues with parts of the dash. The steering column leather covering didn't even reach the dash and had exposed wires showing. The body had stress cracks at several major stress locations. The carbon fiber on the interrior was a wrap and so was the line across the back of the hatch. You need to put a $180,000 deposit to get them started and then make $100,000 payments from there on... and the base price is $425,000 for a basic chassis with steel vented brakes. If I was going to spend that kind of money... I would buy a Carrera GT and an R8... or maybe a Diablo and a Gallardo and a RS4 and still have spare cash left.

I went again today, much busier then Wednesday but nice to see things again and yes the Plethore is strange, just not sure I could ever drop that kind of money on a bespoke car from an unheard of brand and seems just an odd collection of parts put together.

I was really hoping it was going to be uber impressive. But..... oh well. However, I have to say that the Ferrari California is pretty impressive. They totally nailed the styling cues from the old 250. And.. it sounds very very nice! It's a nice low pitch burble at idle. Ferrari has done some interesting in the past few years with engine acoustics and I'm definitely a fan.

Yeah I saw the Plethore at the Edmonton Auto Show. Definitely disappointing. I never like the design of it from picture, up close it was even worse. The quality didn't look that great either, especially for $800,000 or however much it costs. And did anybody else realise that is is really really big? It was beside the other supercars at the Edmonton show and it was so much bigger than everything else there. Do not want.
