  • Best vendor for H&R or Eibach cup kit in Calgary?

Want to drop the new GTI but still retain the softest possible ride, not really interested in adjustability of any kind since this is a daily driver for myself and my fiancee.

I thought about coils but I just can't justify the price of good ones with a comfy ride (like KW Street Comforts for $2K) when I don't want to fiddle with the height or slam the car - just want a subtle 1-1.5" drop. And not convinced that cheaper coils really offer the same dialed-in comfort of a cup kit.

So I narrowed it down to two cup kits

H&R Touring Cup Kit GTI MKVI

    and

    Eibach Pro-System Kit GTI MKVI

Anyone connected with a vendor in town who carries either one and can get me a quote or discount? PM me. I checked some of the usual suspects but haven't seen these products on any websites. I know PG and TireRack can do them on order, but shipping sucks.

I can across this site a while ago and they're based out of Richmond, so no brokerage and the shipping isn't horrible. http://www.essexdistributors.com/ind...Path=1_945_972

I also emailed tunerworks about a month ago but I still haven't gotten a reply. I saw H&R on Natty's line card too, so it might be worth talking to him.

Did you consider the DriverGear GTI springs. They will lower and you won't have to replace the shocks. There is a group buy on now but shipping to Canada is just being determined.

I don't trust lowering a VW on stock shocks, you can always find bad stories about that.... maybe if I was lowering less than an inch. I can totally afford a whole cup kit for peace of mind. Also thinking about possibly HPA SHS since I hear they are very comfy.

I will PM natty54 but if I want to just order a product from a guy, I can do it online - would like to have a shop to do the install and stand behind their work.

Tunerworks... I know they have good products.... I emailed, I left phone message, no call back yet... always seems like that to me? Still I am open to hearing from them, I just don't have time to go down there in the middle of a work day.
