  • Filling and Re-Drilling wheels...what do you know?

Anyone have experience with filling and re-drilling wheels to a different bolt pattern? Is it safe? Is there any wheel shops in calgary that do it? What are your thoughts on it? I got a wild idea brewing up in my head, but wanna do the research first. Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks guys and gals

Lots of guys have done it and have had no problems. If you were making large horsepower i wouldnt do it.

      i wouldn't touch that with a 50 foot pole

just buy proper wheels or run adapters.

Good stuff. Anyone know a shop in or around Calgary that does it and possibly price estimate?

                  What is the risk?

You are filling holes, and drilling new ones. Seems pretty simple to me. The wheel isn't going to suddenly explode. Depending on how good of a job gets done, it might bet trickier to balance it.

I think Alberta Wheel repair has done fill and re-drills, all comes down to the amount of space, previous pattern and new pattern, but as mentioned it has been done many many times. I would just be very picky about who and how the work is done.

I know of a few race cars in the states that have done it and they're fine. No idea who does it locally though.

Had my super RS's done by Alberta Wheel. No Problems. Took them a while but they turned out great. You can come by and have a look as the wheels are off for the winter.
