Re: PSA - Save your oil pan

This is great! lots of the worst ones i know of have been pointed out. The glory of the hybrid pan and air ride. I either drag subframe or lift over it

I'll keep my eyes peeled though.

I've been keeping track of some of the nastier spots around Edmonton too so I though I would contribute.

Heritage Drive connector from Deerfoot north onto Glenmore west it pretty bad. And there's a pretty big pothole in the Northbound 14th Street left turn lane onto Westbound Anderson... I nearly bottomed out my GLI there once when I was only going about 20 and that car wasn't even lowered

162nd sw heading east right before everstone drive. Nothing serious but it'll rattle your teeth, and in my case, loosen the ESP plug

Would always bottom out in my Jetta in the two center lanes going either way.

14th Street SW between Anderson & Canyon Meadows. All down this stretch it's horrible. This one is the worst.

Can't believe I forgot about that stretch of 14th! Is it bad that I forgot even though I go home that way 3 times a week? Haha

Oh haha well I live on the other side of McLeod, so I could go there or down Elbow if I wanted. I haven't lowered my GTI yet though, so no worries yet haha

There is a pretty big dip in the intersection of 37th street and 17th avenue SW while heading north on 37th. It is in the right hand lane.
Would post a picture but the streetview isn't recent enough so you cannot see it.

                                Pothole Watch

We all know that VW's are notorious for destroying oilpans on manhole covers, bumps, and potholes. That applys even more so if you're lowered, like...95% of the forum? Nobody wants to rip their oilpan off so i figured why not help out a fellow Eurodriver and be on......POTHOLE WATCH!!! For the most part we all know the rough roads around the city and outlying areas, but if you're unsure why not post up and ask. If there is a road hazard whether it be, underconstruction, pothole, bump or protruding manhole shout it out and help a guy out. Just designate the best lane to be in, speed and if your hazards should be on or not(i've had a couple close calls). Lastly, if there is a smoother route to take include that as well.

                                Thanks!
