  • Unlocking an iPhone

Ok, so it looks like there's quite a few people on here that have iPhones and have likely messed around with them.

I have a 3GS and a 4 that I want to sell, my neighbor is interested in the GS but the phone is on Bell and they are on Telus. I know know the networks are both HSPA, does anyone know if they can be transferred?

I'm just wondering if it's possible before I keep looking for a buyer. Thanks.

It won't work unless you unlock it still. It's retarded how phones work in north America I think. I unlocked my old 3GS for my old lady to work on bell, it was originally a Rogers phone.

It's fairly easy to do yourself if you want to jailbreak it too. But it would also mean that the buyer would have to jailbreak again if updating it. If the phones are not on contracts anymore it's worth a factory unlock to sell.
