      I'm still waiting for a more firm delivery date so I know when I should sell my current GTI.

      Also the R has more space in the top of the hatch than the STI. If I tried to stuff my three big dogs into an STI there would be blood. The Lancer sportback (or whatever it is called) is similar, however there is a bit more space but the engine doesn't go full-retard like the Evo does.

      Isn't a loaded up GTI in the $35k - $38k range these days?

        A 2012 5 door GTI with Leather, Tech package and 18s is $36,185.00 before fees so only 3,500 more for 56 more hp, awd a body kit not too bad.

          Yeah I'm pretty sure I paid close to $36K for my Anniversary Edition GTI in 2003!~

            i thought VW was supposed to be getting back to its routes as the "peoples car".

                          $4k more than a fully loaded GTI. When you put it that way it doesn't look like that bad of a price.

                          Jerks keep teasing me with a potential Jetta R so I dunno....
