    agreed!
parents giving 400hp supercar to 16/17 y/o = total morons.

Get serious guys let's not pretend like these kids were obeying traffic laws. Several calls to 911 regarding erratic driving from several high end sports cars. Thank god the police impounded the vehicles before they kill someone not to mention it'll probably be the only proper discipline these kids deserve/receive.

Impound the cars on the spot is the correct way to do it. If they didn't tow the cars on the spot and evidence was found that they were speeding ridiculously fast then they would have a huge hassle rounding up the cars again. They paid 7 days lot fees plus towing so they ended up with maybe a $600 offense in total. NOT TOO BAD if you ask me, they could have been going 160km/h in a 100km/h zone and gotten a $485 plus 4 demerits.

Either way i am sure that it didn't teach these kids a lesson, they will be doing the same thing in 2 weeks when they get their cars back.

I think seizing them is going a little far, especially with most of the drivers not actually being owners. I am sure some lawyers are going to be working pretty hard on this one and kid of makes me think the RCMP can make better use of its resources as well.

Yeah Seizing them seems a bit over the top. If you can't charge them in a criminal court, then you shouldn't be able to seize the cars.

The police have to follow their own laws. This is becoming like the riots, the general tacit approval of vigilante justice, seems to be growing Vancouver and Area.
