Cam brings up a good point. Ken, what (in your opinion as a business owner) would be a reasonable resolution to this problem. Please consider your position, but also consider the customers situation knowing that they need the car early the next morning. I would like to know what would be the ideal way of resolving this problem that originated from your business.

I got a couple small points to throw in. If a customer asked me on the phone where I lived and I wasn't comfortable telling him I would just say in the NW etc. It is not like he is asking you to send a google map. Personally I have not spent a lot of time at C1. I have bought there in the past but most of the time I don't get the "how can I help you?" feeling there. That is unless I am dealing with Ken. When I bought our Urinal van from Ken it had a major grinding noise coming from a mad cv joint. It wasn't there when I first test drove it but was when we picked it up after we decided to buy it. I didn't think Ken would do much about it since it was a used vehicle sale. I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to fix it and even brought in both cv joints so if the other one was bad it could be replaced instead. In the end I was only out some time but came away as a satisfied buyer. Would I ever go back to C1? For sure but I always do my research and go in knowing what I want so from what I read I guess that is why I haven't had a problem.

wellllll i stopped by the other day to pick up some spacers and both ken and curtis and HI RYAN! and they haven't seen me in about 1.5 years! IMO thats a good relationship and made me smile/happy and i'll return to chip the allroad in the future

Ken said they would have put it in a mailbox IF I had asked them to do this (considering it was not offered on their part). But considering Aaron shut down my initial idea immediately, i'm just wondering how do I go about even asking for a favor without getting shut down? I honestly thought my initial idea was reasonable, and if it wasnt it would lead to building a better solution. Its kind of hard to think of a better solution when your initial idea is shut down so fast.

My post was more directed along the lines of ...if that's the worse thing that happened to you lately life is treating you well. Wait until something truly bad/unfortunate happens to you or somebody you care about and you will quickly learn what is important and what is not.

As Colin states, this is a car forum. We all know there are far worse problems than the ones we express here. But this is a place to chat, laugh, cry, rant, etc. about our cars and the things that affect them.

My post was more directed along the lines of ...if that's the worse thing that happened to you lately life is treating you well. Wait until something truly bad/unfortunate happens to you or somebody you care about and you will quickly learn what is important and what is not.

LOL!!

I have been to both CAW and Concept1 and I feel CAW is better at customer service for sure, I was looking into getting a better turbo setup and Sam stayed i dont even know how long after hours explaining stuff to me about different setups, software and what not even knowing I was not going to buy anything for some time. I had an issue with the bank holding a cheque that the teller told me they would not hold so I did not have enough money to pay off the bill and Chris said dont worry about it just pay what you can and come back to pay off the rest.

Meanwhile I went to concept1 to get some 5mm wheel spacers and they said I absolutely need the 5mm longer wheel bolts so I go home and try to install but the wheel bolts are the wrong size, to small. Ok they made a mistake no big deal I go back get them exchanged for the proper ones without any issue. My problem is when they say I absolutely need the longer bolts but when I hold the stock bolts up beside them the thread and seat are exactly the same length its just the seat where the rim does not touch and the head are longer. That is just use less and made me feel very ripped off as they are not returnable after being used which is understandable. I do not need to waste my money bolts that have longer heads on them but at the same time I am not going to waste my time trying to argue about it and get a refund and whatever either. I would rather have them around in case I need something quick at a decent price like say an oil filter or oil pan than give them no business and have a bad relationship with them so when I really do need something in a jam I can go to them if need be and have it sorted out.
