Really we all pay a lot of money to insurance companies so it is nice to have them provide some assistance/service back to you.
If they refuse to pay to have the damage properly fixed, I will definitely call my insurance company and see what they can do.

Did your premium go up? Did it effect your insurance record at all?

this is exactly what they're there for. please do exactly this, and don't follow my prior advice about the gun.

Not at all. They deemed Home Depot 100% at fault as my vehicle was classified as a parked vehicle.

With whatever Deco deems as "fair" for them to pay I am sure isn't going to be in the estimate you're going to get. From what it seems they are going to try to get the lowest price possible, even if it may be a crap job on your car. Like others are saying you should go and deal with your insurance company. With the money you spend they are to serve you and not spend their money. So, if they don't (your insurance) wants to pay they are going to make sure that Deco is going to pay for it. Deco is saying that why is it our problem that you decided to go for a cheap price to get your window fixed, you get what you pay for. They already have your money so why should they give two shits, well it seems like they don't.

Premium shouldn't be effected as it is 0% fault on your part, but I don't know that for sure. I would go the insurance route as well. It will take less of your time, and as has been said, it is what you pay them for.

              WOW!!!!

I just got off the phone with DECO and they agreed to have my car fixed properly at one of the autobody shops. I am soooooo relieved.

Accidents happen, but it's how the company deals with these accidents which sets them apart. DECO did a comendable job for how they handled this situation.

Couldn't agree more. Smart approach by you and nicely handled by DECO. Congrats

Interesting. What gave them the about-face? Did you speak to your insurance company and they gave Deco a nudge?

Nope, not once did I contact my insurance company. I figured I would save that as my last option.

Throughout the whole ordeal, I did my best to stay cool and professional. All of my phone calls were polite and my emails were well written. Maybe that was the difference? Or maybe I got lucky.....
