Downtown Motorcade?

Did anyone hear what's going on with the motorcade through downtown today? A ton of bikes (probably more than 40) stopping traffic then a convoy of 7 Denalis and 3 police cruisers ripped through downtown around 1:30 today.

Last minute training for the Royal Couple I bet. They are supposed to be in town around 4:30pm .CPS is in charge of taking them around the city, while the RCMP is providing security.

Royal stuff for sure, between that and the parade tomorrow making my life hell as I have a flight tomorrow at 2 and getting to the airport and in and out of my place is going to be interesting.

Our company is just taking the day off tomorrow instead od dealing with getting down here

I think it is going to be a wild one this year; went for a walk to the store last night and already saw several drunk people about (some cowboys and some not so much) a couple parties on the go and just a lot of people out and about many of whom were quite sketchy! A helicopter might land on the roof, but the condo board would probably fine me

theyve been practicing for the last 2 weeks. i watch and hear them from my office window.
it's full on presidential style too, all done at high speed.

How much practice do you need?

Step one, start engines.

Step two put people in vehicle

Step three drive at high speed through dowtown, with traffic control and motorcade

Step four stop car escort people to hotel.

Step five, go to grounds get wasted.

I think instead of all this, I would put them in back of a ford pinto, and just drive a different route, no one would suspect that.

The motorcade is a decoy! I just seen them get out of the beautiful black R8 that is sitting outside my office!.................well the R8 part is the only true part.

Saw/heard a couple of fighter jets swoop over downtown around 6 last night.

that was actually the snowbirds if it was around 6. they did a quick pass, was watching them from my balcony
