Well, maybe it's time for an "Ask Leo" sort of section where anything goes, mostly completely unmoderated that is only available to members that have been registered for more than a year or something. New people wont see the rowdiness just yet, and everyone gets to bicker in an area that people who complain can stay out of, or they can come voice their unmoderated opinion at risk of possible internet death.

Personally, when I joined eurodrivers a few years back, it was a little awkward at the first few meets, but as you start attending shows and more meets you get to know the people and you see how relaxed the community is that comes out. Canuck and Sabby, I have no idea who either of you are, have you ever come out to a meet or offered to help people on the forum?

My advice to anyone who is new, or a guest on the forum, come along to a big show; euroquake or wuste for example. Come and party and have some drinks, Wuste is where I became friends with lots of the people on here because you really get to talk to everyone, and it's anything goes cause there is usually plenty of alcohol involved.

All in all, take life as seriously as these forums and you will have a conniption fit or possibly a premature heart attack.

        Re: Offensive poll

I agree with the forum being a representation of the club and the way that some of the users on the forum handle themselves is very immature. I do not care if you are typing on a forum or in person at a meet, a mutual respect should be portayed and it is the moderators of a forums job to ensure that the rules are complied with. New users do not know peoples personality or history so allot of what is posted may be in good fun but it does not appear that way and most would not even bother to go out to a meet just based off what is posted. I know for myself my first impression of users of this site is less than inviting .

You'll meet me at a show, I have stated why I haven't bothered to come to a meet thus far. Like I said, nothing I've read here is enough for me to dislike anyone personally. I offer help via the board and I am more than willing to help in person, but I won't waste my time with advice if I am going to be told I am an idiot because my opinion doesn't agree with the next guys.

I'll look for you at the next show I'm attending. Or anywhere else in between where we might meet up, and I definately agree that beers help things out

                Re: Offensive poll

I live so far away and work very long hours that it is near impossible for me to attend meets. Even shows are a stretch. That being said I don't judge the language of anyone, and on EVERY forum there's going to be clashes of opinion all the time. I work at a lumber mill, the blue collar language comes with the job. I don't swear in posts because I don't find in nessacary. Nor do I swear often around people I don't know until I know they can take it. Still the problem remains. I would like to meet everyone regardless of language and opinion. Everyone is entitled to it, but maybe it is used a little extreme sometimes.
