XM radio ? sirius?

OK since xm/sirius are the same freaking thing now.

I bought the XM kit for my one pioneer deck in the allroad because the wife loves howard stern.. well its not on XM canada.. its on sirius..

WTF? same thing.. anyone know if i can make my xm unit go to sirius? or if i call to complain?

i know my father in laws Q7 has satellite radio and gets howard stern so i'm assuming its sirius then.

Tell her to smarten up and listen to Opie & Anthony. If that does not work call XM, they used to have Stern, Playboy and some others as add on channels. I dont know is they still do that but it is worth a shot before buying a new radio.

You can also sign up for a US XM subscription and get Stern.

do you need a US address to have that tho? otherwise i'd just phone xm and say i'm moving to the US or some crap

Sirius and XM are going to be merging, it's been going on since I started with Sirius a year ago. Some of XM channels have moved onto the Sirius line up. When I talked to Sirius the other day the Customer Service didn't know when the merger was going to be finished. I'm sure that soon enough that the channels are going to be going on both companies at some time, it's just a matter of when and what channels.

oh? i thought that was all done with now.. pretty much all my channels now are the same as the sirius ones other than howard 100,101

oh well maybe i'll wait or call and see what they can do.. seems stupid
