  • re: In-Transit Permit?

If all goes well we will have another B7 S4 in the club come next week. I'm driving the vehicle back from Colorado, and was wondering about an in-transit permit. Obviously I need one for here in Alberta - but how does it work with in-transit in the US?

    Thanks!

    Re: In-Transit Permit?

Believe you can head to a Colorado DMV and ask for a transit permit/trip registration. Thats what most Beyonders have been doing stateside. Unsure if you can rock the AB temp plate but I really don't see why you couldn't.

Also.....I rocked a TX in transit paper plate for 1 month while in Alberta. Never bothered to get an AB in transit permit. Was never stopped by any authorities (rcmp, CPS) who were directly behind me on multiple occasions.

      Re: In-Transit Permit?

You go to the state DMV and get an in transit permit. It is good to the US/Canada border.
You must then have a AB in transit permit displayed once you are in canada (provinces dont matter)
Doing what was mentioned above is illegal, and if you were caught without one would land you some hefty fines because you are basically driving without registration.
