    Re: Feedback on Tunedub

My car went in this morning for a timing belt and by 830 they had called to tell me the previous owner must have done it cause it was all after market parts and looked brand new still. They could have just not said anything but instead they saved me a grand! And they didn't even charge me. Very honest. I'm assuming this is why they also had time
    For btimbit.

Haha! That's exactly it. George told me they had a timing belt booked but didn't have to do it. Suppose I owe you a thanks! and a big +1 for George's honesty. Whenever I get a call from him halfway through a job because he's noticed something else is wrong with the car, I know it's legitimate and not just him after more money.

Also, had a great experience with an alignment on the 911. Done before promised and car drives amazing!

Also worth adding that they charged me a hundred dollars less than quoted because apparently George "Owed me from last time" Car took a little longer than expected a few weeks ago, by like an hour and a half. I completely forgot, but I'm glad he didn't!

Tunedub is good, if you can get an appointment to get your car in ever. I called to get it in for a CV boot and they are booking for the 22nd right now.
George is great, I would always trust him working on my cars, but some of his mechanics are iffy. When the turbo on my sisters TDI blew, I took it to Tunedub and had it fixed, on the way home the brand new turbo blew again because the mechanics (not George) forgot to clean out the FMIC so bits of the older turbo shredded the new turbo. Although that happened, George did fix it for free!

^^^This can happen at any reputable shop, it all depends on how the shop owner handles the situation. I've been on the boards long enough to have seen a couple different issues with tunedub and its mechanics, and every time George fixed the situation and put his mechanics in line. This is why Tunedub is so very reputable, because George know that when mistakes happen, they need to be fixed in the right manner to keep customers coming back.

Same with any business. Mistakes happen, it's how they handle them that sets them apart. When it comes to that, George is the man!

Sucks that they're booking so far in advance though. I lucked out getting my car in the same day last time, but I wouldn't count on that happening again.
