I bought that one on Dealfind since I work at Shaw and I can literally see that place from my window. It's closer than the parking lot
After I read the details on the deal after I bought it, I'm guessing they're not too thorough on the detailing part. Simple wash and quick interior vacuum and wipe down is all you get most likely. I'm fine with that though!
"exterior wash, interior and trunk vacuum, window cleaning, seats, floors, door jambs, mirrors, dash and tires cleaned plus a comprehensive inspection, oil change for up to 5 litres, lube and filter change."
I took my VW Westy to SSI last week...what is worst when you try to give best TLC to the thing you like and one day someone has to ruin it. SS has no clue how to do a proper rust-proof undercoating of a vehicle... they did not washed/degreased the undercarriages panels, fenders...etc. The job is so bad that I could tell they just sprayed can around some panels. SS also did drove my van across town during the day of snow storm...van was covered of dirt all over and they also lift the van at wrong jack points too. SSL did not washed my van because they said I did not come for car wash...only for undercoating.
The owner named Mike said they use CMP to do it all their undercoating....are you kidding me?
CMP don't do any undercoating work on site.
You'll find SSI on 'dealfind' a lot lately - So Buyer's beware
I hate to tell you guys, but a hand car wash is nothing more special than what you would do yourself at the coin car wash. They just take their time.
The other difference is they use some professional waxes and polishes that cost $100-300/bucket, but if you were to buy some of these products you could wash your car yourself for a year or more.
The actual cost for a car wash is about $10-$20/car regardless of the "package". If you're paying $180, you're basically paying a lot more for a little bit more wax than the basic package!
I'd say 70% of how nice your car looks comes from the products.
Old thread but as an update to my post last year, when I went there they refused to honor the Dealfind deal and I ended up having to make a claim for my money back through Dealfind. The reason was just that they sold too many of the deal and "weren't going to make any money".
They were basically assholes and I would never go there after that.
