I was stopped at a light and looked over at the passenger seat and noticed that a bunch of stuff was on the seat. Mainly the contents of my centre console and glove box. WTF!!! So my question is how hard is it to break into a MKIV Jetta? I am thinking they used a Slim-Jim or something. I am sure I locked the car last night because my kid likes to stand in front of the car and do the Darth Vader thing like in the Passat commercial while I walk into the house.

Re: Driving to work this morning....
It still puzzles me how they got into my TDI. However they did a number on my 2000 Durango which was parked at the end of the cul-de-sac. The passenger side key lock is f#cked. Can't use the key fob, power lock, key or even pushing down the lock mechanism in the door. F#ckers didn't even steal anything. Not even the 6 pairs of skis in the ski box!
Now my new question where can I get this fixed? Locksmith or truck shop? Can't go skiing otherwise :o(2012 VW Jetta GLI

Re: Driving to work this morning....
Well, with the Mk4's from my understanding there is only so many frequencies that the remote has, and it is rare, but you can just unlock the car with another remote, but the immobilizer wouldn't allow the car to start if they were to try. Was it Ryan that had it happening out at his place?
