    oi.

So I'm buying a '09 ML320 off a relative but wont have it until end of August while they wait for their new ride to come in which means Im rolling hard in my 1998 nissan altima until then.

To make the altima more tolerable, I wanted to "murder it out" (flat black everything, tint) & throw some flat black rims on it.

Obviously looking to do this on the cheap, obviously, as its likely going to be given away to someone when i get a new car.

Suggestions on where I could make this happen and approx cost?

There is a thread on the vortex of people spray bombing the whole thing. It actually doesn't look half bad when done right. I bet you could do it for around 50 bucks.

    Here's the thread:

No one would be buying this, he is going to be giving it away. I'm sure if it was his actual car that he cared about it wouldnt be getting a **** paint job.

I'm not sure what's worse. Giving his car away to your mom with a cheap ass paint job or selling it to her? Either way, I don't think she'd be happy.

Thank you for your positive contribution to this thread.

My beater Im giving away is probably only worth 2k less than a 2003 1.8t.

                  Just saying.

edit: On the roller thing; how much prep do you need to do? Car is already dark color so I assume I could get away with a quick course sand papering? hahaha

She'll look even better on the streets in your "murdered out" Altima!

                        Well, ignoring the fail troll.

Sand the car with like 400 grit and have at it. 500 grit on a DA sander if you're going to spray paint it.

definetly sand. the paint will just flake off once the sun gets to it, or a car wash otherwise. the last thing you want is an ugly car looking even uglier with flaked paint lol.

i'd paint roll it hahaha. that way you can just keep touching it up instead of washing it. actually! never wash it, just paint over the dirt. that'd be f'n unrael. and take a picture each time lol

Hardest part about this is you will have to do a decent job on prep even for your crappy paint job. That means sanding and possibly bondo and then masking REALLY well.

If you spend the time on the prep, you can bomb it or roller it( with thin paint) and do lots of light coats, and it will look OK.

You will also need to buy plastic sheets to do a makeshift paint booth, or else rent one of those places that rents you a booth for a couple days.

My vote is that you use either black or green tractor paint - I've heard that this can work out sweet. I think you can get flat black tractor paint directly from some of the tractor dealerships.
