Yes dont listen to the people that love to hear themselves talk. Seafoam does work but be warned, it can cause issues due to it being a very good solvent cleaner. If you add it to your oil and your have any sludge or heavy deposits, they can become dislodged and clog your pickup causing a starving issue. If added to your intake tract it is very good at cleaning it out but be warned again as it can cause leaks at gaskets due to the solids being removed. It also will find its way through porus surfaces like your turbo housing, and look like a leak but its not. I tried it as a fuel system cleaner but not sure if I noticed a difference or not.

i ran it on my VR6 about 6 months before pulling the car apart for the turbo and engine build.
there was almost no carbon deposits in the car when it was pulled apart.
the car ran much better after i did it, but i did change the plugs, the oil and everything else when i did the seafom.

There are downsides to it you need to be made aware of. You may develop oil leaks after as it dislodges crap, but that crap was simply plugging leaky gaskets.
You may find you need to do work to certain things you didn't think were an issue as it will show you where issues are as stuff dislodges. if you're not prepared to deal with these things, then just leave it.

I don't know...I've never used it because I don't believe it.
Honestly do a google search "seafoam review", first thing that comes up is a discussion on Honda Forums....stupid lil kids in their hondas running b18 engines put that sh!t in and say WOW that stuff is amazing...i beg to differ. Don't do it, let others try it before you do.

I ran it when I first got my car and thought it had engine sludge.

Turns out it didnt, but there were no negative sideaffects to using it. Cant say i noticed a difference afterwards though

Take the time doing something more productive, like uhm............... Oh! Learning and reading about how engines work! Ah yes! What a great idea. Oh, and also if you really want to be an enthusiast, take your motor out and rebuild it. Do it over the week for fun Suddenly you'll wake up and say "OMFGEEEEEEz I was a ricer". if you are worried about seafoam cleaning out crud that's been sealing up the motor, you had better not use synthetic oil also, switching from conventional oil to synthetic causes the same problems.

there is a faq/how to on audizine.. i was tempted to try it but not sure if it will have bad after effects or not..

used it in the oil and fuel. didnt smoke much at all but its because the former owner had the head redone because of a faulty valve. works great. didnt create any leaks whats so ever. and i got a little bit better throttle response.

change the oil soon then. oil is the most important part of your engine. until you've taken one apart, you have no idea how important it is. when you see how close every peice of metal is within such a small degree of tolerance. the spacing is tight for lubrication to buffer. any more distance, and the lubrication wouldn't work and the metals would "Slap" against each other. any less distance and the lubrication wouldn't fit. so when you introduce something foreign that is _not_ a lubricator (seafoam), then you are increasing wear by friction. so the things you will see fail first are bearings and rings. then will be valve stems, and following that will be a smoky motor.

so change your oil now

everyone knows the words "throttle response" means "in your head", but a happy driver is always good!

i don't know what your audi modifcations are. but i would highly suggest you remove or replace the CAT asap. save your seafoam pennies in a jar for a cat removal/replacement because it is currently your biggest blockage for a 11 year old vehicle

no, right away. it might have been a while since you went to school, so here is a bit of info for you...

seafoam is not oil. it will break down the lubricating properties of the oil. much like adding varsol to your oil. do u understand?

awh f it probably best to burn your hand before u realize the element is hot. everyone needs to suffer before they decide to take the time to learn

yea from what i've read.. if you use it in your oil you should be changing it after about 10 blocks of driving..

yea it hardly smoked at all but i am on my way to my uncles to borrow the garage for a few mins hahah
seafoam says 100 miles afterwords but i wanted to do it before.
