Blair, the one out in Springbank there wouldn't be too bad of an investment if you ask me, there is a lot of growth going on in the west side of town right now and at the Springbank airport as well...

Neat idea, I'd rather have a big garage attached to my house with everything I need right there.

I can't believe the price of it too, wow.

If you have that kind of money too who cares where you live, you're probably only in the office 2 days a week anyway.

LOL. I looked at the media pictures on the site and it's wood-frame construction. Some dummy is going to start a fire and millions of dollars in "toys" are going to be lost.

              Re: The Dens At Springbank

I'll think of picking one up after the place goes bankrupt. My brother and I were chatting about a potential market for this - but it only works if you have track that goes along side it.... as in a few of the setups in the states. Especially for the asking price!

After a year or two the novelty will wear off, and the spaces will just turn into a fancy storage locker IMHO.

Having a place like this at Sylvan within the scope of a larger group of amenities would be a much more popular solution. Have a large setup with a track, pub, condo's, some local mechanical experts..... and then you would be bringing in the rich execs from all over Alberta on the weekends.
Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

Well if you want one in Sylvan here they are not as fancy but 1/3 the price.

haha yea, or I can see it now, mommy and daddy come home after vacation and daddy finds his club house destroyed and takes bat to son.

Lifestyles of the rich and famous I guess. This seems like a complete waste of money and I personally don't see a market for it.

I could have it wrong but from the plans everything looks pretty squished with no room between units. duplex style living is for the average class. (IMO) No one that could afford one of these would want to have a relaxation pad with another group of people just on the other side of the wall. I think if a rich guy wanted a pad to hang out at with friends, at that price, he would just buy another house...

I think some rich people will buy these to look cool but I doubt it will catch on. But I could be wrong, there are a lot of people with nothing better to do with their money!

Not to mention WAY better construction, 5inch pad, all concrete construction with 8 inch walls, etc. At least you're not going to hear the other rich guys next to you. For that price it almost makes sense.

20x48 though, there's people in some areas around calgary that have garages that big.

I know a guy in the estates of Siverado that is building a place with a 12 car attached.
