I have seen them sitting in playground zones more often which is nice, there are a lot of times that they shouldnt be sitting in areas too.

I dont know how much sense this makes, i got bored and stopped caring.
i cant comment on that spot, never been there.

Re: Calgary needs to start this

I got a green light violation back in October. It wasn't a ticket due to me going more than 50+ over the limit. I went to talk to Justice and said I wanted to plead not guilty, they set the court date for decemeber 2011. I no longer have the car anymore so I'm wondering if i get proven guilty anyways and don't pay the ticket if it will even effect me at all seeing as the car is no longer registered and never will be again.

do you plan on giving up your AB license? Because thats what the ticket is tagged to, not the car.
The ticket goes to the registered owner of the vehicle, not the driver (they cant prove who was driving), so if you were the registered owner, its on your license.
If you dont plan on using your license again (leaving province or country) you can likely get away with it. BC/AB don't share this kind of information.
When i left BC I left 3 rather large speeding tickets behind on their books with ICBC. After 7 years ICBC deletes its records, so I can eventually go back and it will be clean.

Heres the question, is it big enough that it values you taking 2 full days away from work to go to court?

Its not a ticket though, at least not yet. Just a court date. I'm not sure. I'm praying that it will just be thrown out, I got a lot of time to do some researching and try and find some ways to get out of paying for it.

                    good luck with that.
CPS and RCMP are now paid to attend court, so the likely case that yours gets thrown out is slim. Plus you were doing 50 over. If it was anywhere but deerfoot where you got caught, you should be getting something.
50+ in Alberta is an automatic judicial review. You're more than likely looking at some form of license suspension, and fine. I dont know your record so I cant give you an accurate estimate, but others on first time warnings have lost theirs for 30 days, while repeat have lost theirs for 90 days.

                    Have fun.

50+ over in BC would be a bad bad idea. Count your lucky chickens or something that it wasn't here. You'd be slapped with a street racing fine, lose your license for a while, impound your car on the spot, and have to repay fines to ICBC for 3 years. Probably end up costing you upwards of 3000 dollars.
