Ryan my friend just installed his chip last night, he loves it but he said it was absolutely terrible tearing it apart (about 15 different pieces) so you prolly already have instructions but make sure they are REALLY detailed. Also, what ver. PS2 do you have? the latest version requires something like 23 wires whereas the original only required 4 (sneaky buggers). I wish you would've said something sooner 'cause he did a group buy on em but they are all spoken for now. He's trying to get me to buy one so we can both copy games, but I'm fairly set on getting an xbox. Good luck with your "modding". And Kris, VERY funny my laughter went beyond the cubicle walls!
mine is a V4 with a gap bios.. i wanted the new style magic 5 chip but had to get a 3.6 instead.. the DMS3.0 is too much money so i didn't get that one.. umm with mine there are 13 wires to solder.. so not that bad..
The only poopy part is you can't play any games online that have the DNAS system, it detects a mod chip, gameshark or code breaker and won't let you log in. BUT if don't play online who cares!
