  • Panama bound!!!

Well, after 3 weeks of non-stop studying I'm done my exams and off to Panama for 2 weeks. My folks have a place out there and the GF and I are flying out to stay there over the holidays.

Other than heading to Van a few times, it's the first real trip I've taken in years so I'm pretty stoked. I'll post some pics once I'm there. Talk to you all later.

Yeah, we'll see, I'm in Houston for the night and we're taking off for Panama in the morning. We'll get into Panama city at around noon and then we've got to get across Panama city in an hour and half to catch a connecting flight to David. I'm thinking we're going to see some crazy Panamanian taxi driving. If I'm still alive at the end of it I'll post up some pics.

So I'm still alive and well. Here are a few pics. I've got some more but the internet is being difficult today so I only had the patience to download a few.

Yeah, amazing what $250,000 will buy in a South American country. While it's not exactly cheap, you'd be hard pressed to find a starter home on a postage stamp sized lot in Calgary for that price. By contrast, you can buy a nice clean little bungalow, brand new built, fully equipped for about $40,000. Were it not for the fact that I'm in school for the next 2 1/2 years I'd be seriously considering getting one. Even if I were to get a loan to do it, the mortgage payments would probably be about $100 a month.

If anyone's interested I'm going to be taking some pics of said bungalows before I leave so I'll try and get some pics posted of them.

A few more pics that I couldn't post yesterday
