    If I make c and d drives "dynamic" can the c borrow space from the d?

    Ps the reason this is a problem at all is I don't have a windows DVD/ cd whatever.

      I haven't needed to do it a lot, but you make the C drive dynamic, then the D drive space gets attached. It can't be formated/in use as an actual drive D so you probably will need to delete the partition and create just an extended partition. Can you actually copy files and stuff to D? If not, I'd be fine nuking it. If you can, then it it could be in use but you could also be fine copying/installing programs there.

      If you have the windows sticker/key you can borrow anyones windows disk - they all work. I think I have 5-10 in the office.

        Here is another suggestion. Change your pagefile on your C:\ drive to 0MB and put it on your D:\ drive at static say 3GB. Then reboot.
