  • V-Power for the price of Regular

In Edmonton, untill 11pm tonight at MillWoods Rd and 50th Street.

Supposedly the guy tells me that it happens on average 3 times a month.

Christmas came early tonight, I'm going to start calling the station every 3 or 4 days....everyone loves cheap gas, no?

usually the cause is because they either run out of regular, or need to empty the tank.

Lol, don't worry about it, I've been here a short time and already know that luunta is nothing but a troll...

I always fill up in Red Deer now instead of here at home in Rocky, today I saved .11/ltr on vpower ($1.01 in red deer $1.12 here in Rocky!)

I wonder now, with the high diesel prices (compared to regular) if you are really saving that much with a diesel?

Depends what you are comparing I guess. My 1.9L diesel Jetta would go twice as far as my 2L gas Jetta on the same volume of fuel, so if diesel gets to 2$ then cost to drive is even. (not including the initial cost of the tdi in the first place, of course).

true, what is the mileage per tank for a 1.9 diesel in the city?

After I chipped it and put the larger injectors in , 55ish L would get me around 850km in city and 1000km on highway. Before the injectors I had got 1150km on the same 55ish L on the highway and I don't recall the city mileage. I think I could get a fairly consistent 900km though. Lots of guys say they get 1000km consistently, but I think I probably screwed around too much for that.

My Golf's chipped and I get at least 800k a tank, max has been 1128k before the light came on. The 8-900 tanks are from abusing the torque...usually from teasing Lancers and WRX's

hehe, I'm guessing internet sarcasm fail?

that is good to know, my VR only gets about 450 city, so there is still a huge difference. I do remember a day though when diesel came in at a whopping 36 cents/litre. Weren't those the days!!

can't really compare mileage of a 2.7T versus the TDi anything, really.

but no, i wasn't trolling, sirs, it was a legit question. if you can afford an audi, you're probably not in a position to be complaining about gas prices. you knew the costs getting in to the car.

stefan, is the upgrade in power worth the difference in mileage? i've been toying with the idea of chipping my TDi.
