No, it doesn't, you cant buy "The Internet".

No matter what you try and block, there are these things called Proxies.

Read it again i did not mean BUY the internet, i meant with money and time someone can do what those will consider not achievable eg. censor the internet by means of restricting access through internet providers.



aliencurv thanks for the enlightenment i did not know much about function of internet.

My assumption was that the providers may filter and restrict access to sites and/or block regions. Like at time you can not access certain streaming media in the states. I thought it was as simple as putting in this site google.com can not be searched for or accessed done.

When i was in Turkey this summer i noticed Youtube was blocked. I know enought about proxies and other back doors to try and get around it, but in the end i could not view youtube very easily at all. It was so much work to look at anything on youtube that i just ended up not using it anymore.
