There was one in the eurodriver buy/sell while back - it was a blue manual v8 s4 wagon, sooo sexy and totally the right price (but I'd just bought the sub).

If that pops up again, I'm going to be in trouble.

Gotta wait a few days for the quote though since who knows they might fix it.

        Wouldn't know about that, mine's a stick.

Manual should say both - they usually don't print separate manuals for diff trans (usually).

            damn geoff! sorry to see

my bro in law has a new jetta wagon 2.5 its pretty decent

i'd look for a s4 avant if you don't mind the gas guzzle

or a4 avant but check the rear legroom for your specs (thats why we went with the allroad/a6 platform as a4/s4 has zero rear leg room)

Car isn't worth more than 22K so I'm hoping it's a loss. If they say it's 14K to fix I'll probably get it fixed though.

Still looking if I can find the tow rating for the Golf wagon TDI. I think it's 2000, but not sure.

Not meant to tow anything besides a couple of bicycles on a rack.
                It's a structure design.
Tow at own risk.Newer ones yes.

Ended up with a new v6 Santa Fe - pretty nice, fits all the points of the family hauler.

And it doesn't pillage daddy's s4 budget either.

Get a B6 S4 and you'll have the same garage as me. I quite like my wife's Santa Fe.

nice! I drove a few of those at my old work, from what I remember they were pretty damn quick for an SUV. The interiors are very nice and were all around pretty reliable vehicles, good choice!

New for 2010, 275HP v6 with 3mpg more than the old, slower motor. Also has the trick new 6speed auto from the sonata. The similar spec Toyota rav4 will run 13s in the quarter - kind of annoying that this boat is quicker than the Jetta.

I'm hoping to find a nice lease-back B8-s4 next year, we'll have to see. Hence keeping the mk4 still.
