...I noticed tonight I have a burnt reverse light. Tell me the difference between a 1156, 7506, P21W? As far as I can tell MKIV Jettas take a P21W for the rear brake, turn & reverse lights and the tail light is a 5007.

German bulbs's notch is slightly higher on the bulb which is why it's different part number. 1156 bulbs (north American) fit fine with some finess
