      Re: Legal???

thats the stupidest thing i have ever seen.

most emergency vehicles, and actually high end vehicles now have progressive LED brake lights, where depending on how hard the vehicle is braking the intensity of the light changes (to the point on high end MB's that the hazards come on).

that strobe effect is just goddamn retarded though.

            nope. still sound stupid.

i think what you're trying to say, is the frequency of the light turning on and off, is higher than the frequency at which the camera is capturing images. Or the frequencies are not synced, and the camera is not able to capture some of the strobes.

I think we all understood that that "light blink too fasth, camera is retardly thlow, it make deh blink not look right in video"...the point is that by putting that on your car you're gonna look like a douche, distract other drivers cause of the stupid x20 blinking. Nobody in the right state of mind would put such things in their car, unless you're planning on having a party in the parking lot and you can have your car's stop lights blink x1000 times to the sound of eurotrash music.

                  Re: Legal???

These blinking lights are not intended for being cool or this months fad. Its main purpose was intended to increase the attention of the driver behind you. Or they can stop texting and focus on there driving.

                    Re: Legal???

i'm pretty sure this would draw the attention of adjacent drivers that were otherwise paying attention to their own driving. I'd probably look over to see wtf was up, which is not a good thing if everyone is braking on the road.

I was behind a slow moving firetruck on the way to work this morning, they have a very quick single or double flash then solid brake lights. It was going under 50 and I saw it happen a couple times so it can't be all that illegal.

haha yea i think he was trying to describe signal aliasing, for the video to properly show the blinking of the tails its frame rate would have to be above 40 frames per second (Nyquist).

Whether or not the signal is aliased is beside the point though

                            Re: Legal???

Buses in Edmonton have this as well, they just blink the entire time the brake is being applied.

They are no where near as fast as that.

I was once driving to Banff, on Christmas eve, behind a jacked up dually doing 90 (not in the park). Which enraged me. So I passed this douche, only to find out he had HID's in stock housings. Lighting up the oncoming traffic, it was so retarded. Honked my horn for probably 10k's. With Highbeams on right behind him. He then signaled to pull over and asked what the big deal was, and wondered if I was aware that my highbeams were on, and that it was distracting to drive in front of... Felt like taking my skis and smashing his lights in.
