If there was other people seriously interested then yes there could be a vote.

I was kidding, but the drama could totally be some awesome entertainment for a couple weeks.

Are you going to enter in the race? GTI vs. F1.

          Who wins?

                                Re: **Presidential Address**

Cars are stupid cheap in Singapore, at least they were when I lived there. It is the Right to own the car that costs upwards of 100 grand. You will love Singapore. Beautiful place. If your wife or yourself need any sort of up help, I could put you into contact with my Mom. She found the learning curve pretty intense over there and I am sure she would love to help another Expat couple out with her knowledge.

If you want electronics and other legitimate products, you want the Funan Mall, if you want cheap, often 'replicated' electronics and other 'replicated' items hit up the Sim Lim Mall. Don't be surprised if you are in a changeroom in the Sim Lim and you lean on the mirror and it turns out to be a hidden door. That is where you will find lots of cool ****.

Holland Village was a pretty sweet area. It has a wet market, I believe now they have a lot more proper refrigeration, but when I was there. They didn't, and the smell from that place is something to behold. I can still smell it on hot humid days here. Also another electronic store in there called Parasilk, and it was where we bought most of our stuff.

I really have to go back there at some point, I really miss it.

Also inform your wife that they are fairly traditional there in regards to gender rolls. I remember it inferiorating my mom on several occasions, for instance trying to change cell phones and whatnot. Even though she was the primary account holder, the 'Man of the house' had to come and sign things. I found it hilarious.

Also due to things having a premium, you are often compensated with a gift. I had two bikes and a blood pressure monitor from a washer and dryer set we bought there.

Also avoid any sort of angry loud contact with locals. We never had this problem but our neighbours did. The social concept of 'Face' is very important to locals, and if you get loud, you cause them embarrassment and loss of face. Which makes them very irrational and angry, which can result getting a home brewed ass kicking thrown your way.
